Organic Beauty with the Soil Association and Rebel Kitchen

Hannah Rees Rebel Kitchen Wholefoods Kensington

Rebel kitchen are running a September "takeover" upstairs in Wholefoods and they have an awesome line up of events throughout the month. Last night I attended the first of the series "Organic Beauty with The Soil Association". Dr Pauline Hili, founder of Nourish skincare demonstrated her skills as a top UK skin expert by making Nourish's Argan Skin Renew Moisturiser right before our eyes! It reminded me of being back in the science lab at school (only with a few less accidental explosions and I had a yummy @ourvodka and @rebel_kitchen cocktail in my hand!)

Dr Hili feels that it is up to the individual if they want to wear makeup but that it is so important to start with healthy skin. She shared the companies mantra "HEALTHY SKIN IS BEAUTIFUL SKIN" as she blended together the natural ingredients such as organic aloe vera, and kale (we hear so much about the benefits of eating kale- Nourish are the first company to include it in a skincare range!). Anne Hahlo (Nourish's marketing manager) assisted Dr Hili's creation whilst providing some rather wonderful facts about the ingredients that were being used. I was particularly fascinated to learn from her about rose of Jericho, which spends time hibernating as tumbleweed in the desert and then awakens and flowers during the rainy season. Nourish are accredited by The Soil Association, the UK's leading organic certification body and create an award winning, vegan and ethically sourced skincare range. We were given a sample of the moisturiser to take away along with a wonderful Rebel Kitchen goody bag! A very pleasant hour spent with some fresh faced beauties!
